10 Worst Conspiracy Theories

Everyone from time to time wonders whether there’s a conspiracy somewhere. There are definitely real conspiracies that have been revealed to be true. It wouldn’t be surprising to see more of them to be proven as time goes on.

However, sometimes conspiracy theorists go too far with their theories. People believing in crazy stuff isn’t the biggest problem. It’s when masses start to believe in them. Then it’s a problem.

In this list we’ll look into some of the worst conspiracy theories that people actually believe in. Some of them are outright ridiculous and it’s surprising that there are people who actually believe in them.

1. Lizardmen Control The World

The classic lizardmen illuminati conspiracy theory. There’s definitely a possibility that at some point in human history there was an organization that controlled the world to some extent. Even today it’s possible that someone is behind it all, but when you sometimes look at the incompetence of governments, it’s hard to see how someone would be able to organize world domination.

This lizardmen Illuminati theory gained some traction with “shapeshifting” videos where people try to convince themselves that they caught lizardmen showing their true form for a mili-second. The reality of it all is that it’s just video glitches that can be easily explained.

Vice did a full 2 part segment with the conspiracy theorist David Icke on this topic.

2. The Earth is Flat

Denying the science is one of the easiest ways to make a conspiracy out of anything. You have to wonder, why something like this got so popular? There are even flat earth conventions. NASA is faking the pictures and the government is lying. Why though?

Some people will obviously just follow the herd and go with the flow. Others are those that don’t understand science and how the world works so they make their own theory about things.

Flat Earth conspiracy is pretty infuriating, because of the way people deny basic science.

3. There’s a Slave Colony on Mars

Robert David Steele claimed on Alex’s Jones show that there’s a child slave colony on Mars.

4. Celebrities Get Cloned

Apparently celebrities get cloned before they’re killed… Britney Spears, Enimen, Miley Cyrus, The Beatles and many more have been lumped into this conspiracy.

5. The Moon Doesn’t Exist

More denial of science and basic reality. This time there’s no moon and it’s all just a how.

The Mad Revisionist, a website dedicated to “exposing” that there’s actually no moon.

You can see it. But think about it without the help of so-called “experts”, how do you really know what you’re looking at? It could be a hologram, projected from various government installations throughout the world. It could be a large, crudely painted balloon, held in place by helium and propelled by tiny sails and rudders (which is why it moves across the sky so slowly). Or, most likely, it could have been different things at different times and different places, depending on the technology available to the conspirators and the culture and beliefs of the population being deceived.

6. Dinosaurs Helped Build The Pyramids

The Egyptian pyramids are full of mysteries. How were they build? Most people will say aliens, but there are some that believe that it was the dinosaurs!

7. Yoga is a Satanic Ritual

The healthy thing that you can do called yoga is apparently a satanic ritual. Lebanese priest thinks that it’s satanic and the crazy thing is that police believe him. This is definitely one of the worst conspiracy theories. What’s next? Jogging creates a portal to hell?

8. The Earth is Hollow

If you thought is end with flat earth, you’re wrong. There’s a conspiracy theory where people believe that the Earth is hollow.

The Hollow Earth is a pseudoscientific concept proposing that the planet Earth is entirely hollow or contains a substantial interior space. The scientific community has dismissed the notion since at least the late-18th century. The concept of a hollow Earth recurs many times in folklore and as the premise for subterranean fiction, and a subgenre of adventure fiction (Journey to the Center of the Earth, At the Earth’s Core). It is also featured in some present-day pseudoscientific and conspiracy theories. – wikipedia

9. HIV Was Created By the US Government / Big Pharma

Before we get into this, let’s not kid ourselves when it comes to governments around the world. There’s definitely shady stuff that governments are up to, and we can see that throughout history. Most of the times you can see the motive. This theory doesn’t make much sense. Why would a government want to create a deadly disease?

10. “Still Alive” Conspiracy Theories

Everyone, Tupac faked his own death and is chilling in Cuba… This one is less of a conspiracy and more of people not being able to deal with the fact that their favorite celebrity has passed away. Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Tupac and even Hitler had all conspiracy theories that they’re still alive.
